Black Forest cake flavors transformed in individual trifles.
Ingredients:
  • 200g (1 cup) pitted black cherries in light syrup
  • 18.00 gm white sugar
  • 1 x 300ml ctn thickened cream
  • 12.00 gm icing sugar mixture
  • 4.40 gm vanilla essence
  • 18 Choc Ripple biscuits
  • 2 x 30g Flake bars, coarsely broken
Instructions:
  • Combine cherries, syrup, and sugar in a saucepan over low heat. Stir for 2-3 minutes until sugar dissolves. Let it cool for 10 minutes, then strain cherries into a bowl, saving the syrup.
  • Whip the cream, icing sugar, and vanilla in a bowl using an electric beater until stiff peaks form.
  • Split the remaining syrup evenly between 2 jugs. Chill one jug in the fridge. Dip one-third of the biscuits into the second jug of syrup. Distribute among six 250ml (1-cup) glasses. Top with one-third of the cream. Repeat layering with the rest of the biscuits, syrup, and cream. Refrigerate for 1 hour for the biscuits to soften.
  • Drizzle the cherries and their syrup over the dessert and garnish with Flake before serving.
