Pepper-infused boiled biscuits for a tasty twist.
Ingredients:
  • 12 eggs
  • 0.5 cup butter, melted
  • 0.33300000429153 cup vegetable oil
  • 6 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons coarsely ground black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons baking powder
Instructions:
  • First, bring a generously-sized pot of water to boil on medium-high heat. Then, preheat the oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).
  • In a spacious bowl, vigorously whisk eggs then fold in melted butter and oil. In another bowl, combine flour with salt, pepper, and baking powder.
  • Create a crater in the middle of the flour mixture, then pour in the egg mixture. Combine until a dough forms. Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead briefly. Divide the dough into 12 equal parts. Shape each part into an 8-inch long cylinder. Curve each cylinder into a ring and seal the ends. Use a sharp knife to gently mark each ring around the perimeter.
  • Carefully add the onion rings in pairs to the boiling water and cook for 1 minute. Then, lift the rings out of the water and place them on lightly greased cookie sheets.
  • Bake until golden brown in a preheated oven for 20 minutes.
