Easy blackberry pie made with store-bought crust. Enjoy with vanilla ice cream.
Ingredients:
  • 4 cups fresh blackberries
  • 0.75 cup white sugar, divided
  • 1 (9 inch) double crust ready-to-use pie crust
  • 2 tablespoons milk
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
  • In a large bowl, mix 3 1/2 cups of blackberries with 1/2 cup of sugar and flour. Spoon this mixture into the unbaked pie crust. Layer the remaining 1/2 cup of berries on top, then cover with the top crust. Seal and crimp the edges, and make vents in the top crust for steam to escape.
  • Gently coat the top crust with milk and generously sprinkle with the remaining 1/4 cup sugar.
  • Place pie in a preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes. Lower the oven temperature to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) and continue baking for an extra 20 to 25 minutes, or until the filling is bubbly and the crust is golden brown. Allow the pie to cool on a wire rack.
