Bite-sized puff pastry stuffed with creamy cheese and juicy blackberries, baked to perfection for a quick and delicious dessert.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (10 ounce) package frozen puff pastry shells, thawed
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, at room temperature
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 cup milk
  • 0.25 cup turbinado sugar
  • 1.5 cups fresh or frozen blackberries
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 375 degrees F (190 degrees C), then give your cookie sheet a light grease.
  • Combine the cream cheese, sugar, and cinnamon in a bowl and mix until well combined. Let it sit for later use.
  • Lay the puff pastry shells on the baking sheet. Brush each shell with milk and generously sprinkle with turbinado sugar.
  • Bake the shells in a preheated oven until they expand and turn golden brown, about 10 to 15 minutes. Keep an eye on them to ensure they are thoroughly baked but not overdone. Once ready, remove the shells from the oven and use a fork to gently remove the caps from each shell, setting them aside for later.
  • Fill each shell with a generous 2 tablespoons of the creamy cheese mixture, layer 6 to 8 blackberries on top, and crown it all with a puff pastry cap.
  • Place the filled pastry shells back in the oven, bake until the pastry tops are beautifully golden and the filling is warmed through, approximately 5 minutes.
