Elevate Grandma's blackberry pie with a modern twist that's a hit for summer parties. Kids approved!
Ingredients:
  • 1 (15 ounce) package pastry for a 9 inch double crust pie
  • 0.75 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 4 cups blackberries
  • 0.75 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 0.5 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C) while you gently fit one of the pie crusts into a 9-inch pie plate.
  • Combine sugar, flour, and cinnamon in a bowl. Fold in the blackberries and chocolate chips with care. Drizzle lemon juice on top. Fill the pie crust with the mixture, cover with the remaining crust, and seal by pressing with a fork or fluting with your fingers.
  • Place in a preheated oven and bake for 35 minutes until the top turns a beautiful golden brown. Allow it to cool slightly before slicing and serving.
