Ingredients:
  • 111.38 gm pure maple syrup
  • 117.98 gm honey
  • 20.00 ml finely grated orange rind
  • 65.63 gm orange juice
  • 300.00 gm traditional rolled oats
  • 125.00 ml bran cereal
  • 125.00 ml wheatgerm
  • 62.50 ml sunflower seeds
  • 40.00 ml linseed
  • 125.00 ml dried blueberries
  • 125.00 ml dried cranberries
  • 82.50 ml dry-roasted hazelnuts, chopped
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 170°C/150°C fan-forced. Line a large baking tray with parchment paper. In a saucepan over low heat, combine maple syrup, honey, orange rind, and orange juice. Stir and cook for 1 to 2 minutes until smooth.
  • In a bowl, mix together oats, cereal, wheatgerm, sunflower seeds, linseed, and cinnamon. Pour in the syrup mixture and toss to coat everything evenly. Spread the mixture over a prepared tray and bake for 40 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes, until dry and crisp. Allow it to cool on the tray before serving.
  • Mix in vibrant berries and crunchy hazelnuts until fully incorporated. Transfer the exquisite mixture into a tightly sealed container, maintaining its freshness for an impressive 14 days.
