Indulge in a sweet twist on a classic with this delectable dessert pizza.
Ingredients:
  • 7g sachet dried yeast
  • 5.00 gm caster sugar
  • 500.00 ml plain flour
  • 82.50 ml chocolate hazelnut spread
  • 500.00 ml frozen blueberries, partially thawed
  • ice-cream or thickened cream, to serve
  • 125.00 ml plain flour
  • 60g butter, chilled, chopped
  • 40.00 gm caster sugar
  • 40.00 ml slivered almonds
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 200C and generously grease a large flat baking tray.
  • In a jug, mix 3/4 cup warm water, yeast, sugar, and salt. Whisk with a fork until dissolved. Cover with plastic wrap and let sit in a warm place for 5 minutes until bubbles form on the surface.
  • In a bowl, combine the sifted flour with the yeast mixture and oil to make a soft dough. Knead on a floured surface for 10 minutes until elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for 25 to 30 minutes until doubled in size.
  • Punch down dough with your fist, then knead on lightly floured surface until smooth.
  • Shape dough into a 20cm x 32cm rectangle and transfer it onto a baking tray.
  • Prepare the crumble by blending flour and butter in a bowl. Use your fingertips to incorporate the butter into the flour until the mixture looks like breadcrumbs. Mix in the sugar and almonds.
  • Put the chocolate hazelnut spread in a microwave-safe bowl and heat it for 20 seconds until it becomes soft. Spread it over the pizza base, add blueberries, sprinkle crumble on top, and bake for 20 to 25 minutes until the base is crispy. Serve with ice cream or cream.
