Deliciously moist blueberry scones packed with juicy fruit, ideal for any time of day!
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 cup chilled unsalted butter, cut into pieces
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 0.75 cup half-and-half cream
  • 1 large egg
Instructions:
  • Collect all your ingredients together before beginning the recipe. Then, preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • In a bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt. Incorporate cold butter using two knives or a pastry blender until the mixture looks like coarse crumbs. Add blueberries and gently mix together.
  • Combine the cream and egg in a separate bowl, whisk until thoroughly mixed, then gradually add to the dry ingredients. Stir with a rubber spatula until a dough begins to come together.
  • Place the mixture onto a lightly floured surface, knead it briefly until combined (about 3 or 4 times), being careful not to overwork the dough. Next, divide the dough in half and shape each half into a 6-inch round.
  • Place the rounds onto a baking sheet without any added grease, then slice each round into 6 equal wedges.
  • Bake until lightly golden for about 20 minutes in a preheated oven. Serve while warm.
