Delicious whole wheat waffles with soymilk, egg substitute, and fresh organic berries - a must try!
Ingredients:
  • 3/4 cup Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup Gold Medal™ whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup quick-cooking oats
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups vanilla soymilk
  • 2 tablespoons canola or vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup fat-free egg product
  • 1 cup Cascadian Farm® frozen organic blueberries, thawed, drained
  • Syrup or fresh fruit, if desired
Instructions:
  • Spritz the waffle maker with cooking spray and preheat it. Combine all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, oats, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl. In a separate small bowl, whisk together soymilk, oil, and egg product until combined. Pour the soymilk mixture into the flour mixture and stir until just combined. Carefully fold in the blueberries.
  • Pour a generous amount of batter onto the center of the hot waffle maker, spreading it out to the edges. Follow the manufacturer's guidelines for the right quantity. Close the lid of the waffle maker.
  • Bake the waffle for 3 to 5 minutes until golden brown and steaming stops. Remove it carefully and serve immediately with syrup or fruit. Repeat with the remaining batter. Enjoy!
