Indulgent blondies infused with rich browned butter and bourbon will have you hooked over traditional brownies.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tablespoons bourbon whiskey
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), then skillfully line your 8-inch square baking dish with parchment paper.
  • Heat butter in a saucepan until it's golden brown and smells nutty, around 5 minutes. Transfer the brown butter to a large bowl and let it cool a bit.
  • Combine brown sugar with rich, nutty browned butter and infuse with the bold flavors of bourbon. Blend in a luscious egg and fragrant vanilla extract until fully incorporated. Gently fold in flour and a pinch of salt until the mixture is harmoniously combined. Transfer the batter into the awaiting baking dish.
  • Bake until the top is dry and edges pull away from the sides, about 20 to 25 minutes in the preheated oven. Then, cool on a wire rack until completely cool before slicing.
