Bourbon-infused dried Mission fig compote, ideal for pairing with blue cheese and crackers.
Ingredients:
  • 7 ounces dried Mission figs, diced
  • 0.25 cup bourbon whiskey
  • 0.25 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions:
  • In a small saucepan, mix figs, sugar, whiskey, balsamic vinegar, lemon juice, and salt. Boil mixture, then simmer until liquid reduces by half, approximately 30 minutes. Allow to cool before serving.
