Elevate classic blondies with sweet pecans and a splash of bourbon.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 2 cups packed light brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup bourbon
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup white vanilla baking chips
  • 1 cup coarsely chopped toasted pecans
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and generously coat a 13x9-inch pan with cooking spray.
  • Cream butter and brown sugar together with an electric mixer until creamy. Then, add eggs one at a time, followed by bourbon and vanilla, mixing until everything is well blended.
  • Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl. Slowly incorporate this mixture into the butter mixture on low speed until just blended, making sure to scrape the bowl as needed. Fold in the baking chips and pecans, then pour the batter into the pan.
  • Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let the cake cool completely in the pan on a cooling rack for about 1 hour. Cut into 8 rows by 4 rows.
