Bourbon-Glazed Grilled Chicken

Maple bourbon glaze elevates grilled chicken with a sweet and savory twist.
Ingredients:
  • 1 quartered whole chicken (3 to 3 1/2 lb)
  • 1/2 cup maple-flavored syrup
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons bourbon
Instructions:
  • Preheat grill for indirect cooking, brush grill rack with oil, then grill chicken skin side down for 15 minutes. Flip chicken, grill skin side up for 20-30 minutes until juices run clear when thickest pieces are cut (at least 165°F).
  • Mix the remaining ingredients in a small bowl. Brush chicken with some of the glaze and cook skin side down until deep golden brown for 3 to 5 minutes. Transfer the chicken to a platter and brush with the remaining glaze.
