Creamy Sweet Italian Sausage Pasta: Simmered sausage in tomato cream sauce over bow tie pasta.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (12 ounce) package bow tie pasta
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound sweet Italian sausage, casings removed and crumbled
  • 0.5 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 0.5 cup diced onion
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (28 ounce) can Italian-style plum tomatoes, drained and coarsely chopped
  • 1.5 cups heavy cream
  • 3 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
Instructions:
  • Bring a generously salted pot of water to a boil. Cook pasta until al dente, 8 to 10 minutes. Drain pasta.
  • In a large deep skillet over medium heat, heat oil. Add sausage and pepper flakes. Cook until sausage is evenly browned.
  • Cook until the onion is tender after stirring in the onion and garlic.
  • Combine the tomatoes, cream, and salt in the pot. Let it simmer until it thickens, which should take around 8 to 10 minutes.
  • Combine the cooked pasta with the sauce, heat thoroughly, and garnish with fresh parsley.
