Spicy sausage and herb chicken pasta dish that can be customized with veggies or rice.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (16 ounce) package uncooked farfalle pasta
  • 2 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
  • 1 pound hot Italian turkey sausage, casings removed
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, sliced
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
  • 0.5 cup red wine
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
Instructions:
  • Bring a large pot of perfectly salted water to a rolling boil. Add the pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes until it reaches that ideal al dente texture. Drain the pasta.
  • Rinse the chicken breasts and dice them into generously sized pieces. Cut the sausages into large chunks. In a wide, deep skillet over medium low heat, mix oil and garlic to infuse the oil with flavor. Discard the garlic once done.
  • Brown the chicken and sausage in a skillet until opaque. Stir in the tomatoes and wine, then bring to a boil and let simmer for 20 minutes. Season with basil, rosemary, salt, and pepper. Add cooked pasta, toss, and serve.
