Vibrant and simple breakfast recipe, have the kids grate the fruit for a fun and safe cooking experience!
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • ½ a small jar of runny honey (170g)
  • 1 pear
  • 1 apple
  • 6 strawberries
  • 1 nectarine
  • 1 banana
  • 1 orange
  • 2 sprigs of fresh mint
  • natural yoghurt (optional)
Instructions:
  • 1. Heat a small frying pan over medium heat and toast sesame seeds until golden, shaking the pan occasionally for even cooking. Transfer the toasted seeds to a small microwave-safe bowl and mix in the honey. Warm the mixture in the microwave for 20 seconds on 800W. Set aside. 2. Remove stems from pear, apple, and hull strawberries. On a chopping board, cut around the nectarine, twist to separate halves, and remove the stone using a teaspoon if needed. Peel the banana. 3. Place a box grater on a plate and grate all fruit on the coarse side in long strokes. Squeeze orange juice over the grated fruit, discarding any pips. Drizzle with 2 tablespoons of the sesame honey. 4. Roughly chop mint leaves, discard the stalks, and sprinkle over the fruit. Divide into bowls and serve with a dollop of natural yoghurt, if desired.
