Whip up a quick and delicious sautéed steak in a rich sauce in under 30 minutes!
Ingredients:
  • 1 teaspoon cracked black pepper
  • 3/4 teaspoon chopped fresh basil leaves or 1/4 teaspoon dried basil leaves
  • 3/4 teaspoon chopped fresh rosemary leaves or 1/4 teaspoon dried rosemary leaves
  • 1/8 teaspoon onion powder
  • 4 beef cubed steaks (5 oz each)
  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
  • 2 tablespoons brandy or Progresso™ beef flavored broth (from 32-oz carton)
  • 1/4 cup Progresso™ beef flavored broth (from 32-oz carton)
Instructions:
  • Combine pepper, basil, rosemary, and onion powder to create a flavorful rub. Massage the pepper rub onto both sides of each steak.
  • Heat butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Sear beef for 7 to 8 minutes, turning occasionally, until cooked to medium-rare to medium. Set beef aside to keep warm.
  • Pour brandy and broth into the skillet. Bring to a boil, stirring to release the flavorful brown bits from the bottom of the skillet. Lower the heat to simmer uncovered for 3 to 4 minutes until slightly thickened. Serve the beef with the delicious brandy mixture.
