Bread Machine Pesto-Pine Nut Bread

Delight in aromatic Italian bread with basil and olive oil, great solo or paired with any dish.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons water
  • 3 cups Gold Medal™ Better for Bread™ flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons bread machine or quick active dry yeast
  • 1/3 cup basil pesto
  • 2 tablespoons Gold Medal™ Better for Bread™ flour
  • 1/3 cup pine nuts
Instructions:
  • Carefully measure and add all bread ingredients to the bread machine pan following the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Choose the Basic/White cycle with either a Medium or Light crust color setting, and do not set the Delay cycle.
  • In a small bowl, combine pesto and 2 tablespoons of flour until thoroughly mixed. Mix in pine nuts. Add the filling when the Raisin/Nut signal sounds or 5 minutes before the final kneading cycle finishes. Remove the baked bread from the pan and let it cool on a rack.
