Indulgent dessert bread with caramel, chocolate chips, and pecans.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup plus 1 tablespoon water
  • 10 caramels
  • 2 2/3 cups Gold Medal™ Better for Bread™ flour
  • 2 tablespoons dry milk
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons bread machine or quick active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup coarsely chopped pecans
Instructions:
  • Add all ingredients, except the chocolate chips and pecans, to the bread machine pan as per the manufacturer's instructions. Incorporate the chocolate chips and pecans either at the Raisin/Nut signal or 5 minutes before the final kneading cycle concludes.
  • Choose the Sweet or Basic/White cycle and select Medium or Light crust color. Once the bread is done baking, remove it from the pan and allow it to cool on a wire rack.
