Decadent bread pudding made with custard-soaked bread cubes, plump raisins, and baked to perfection.
Ingredients:
  • 10 slices white bread, cut into cubes
  • 0.25 cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 cup raisins
  • 6 eggs, beaten
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups hot milk (160 degrees F/71 degrees C)
  • 1 pinch ground nutmeg
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) and gently butter a 2-quart baking dish.
  • Mix together the bread cubes, butter, cinnamon, and raisins until well combined, then transfer to a baking dish.
  • In a bowl, whisk together eggs, sugar, vanilla, and salt until smooth. Stir in milk until fully combined, then pour the mixture over the bread cubes.
  • Sprinkle with fragrant nutmeg and bake for 25 minutes until golden brown.
