Delicious customizable breakfast bruschetta - perfect for kids and adults!
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 baguette, cut into 1/2-inch slices
  • 0.33333334326744 cup breakfast sausage
  • 0.25 cup diced onion
  • 5 large eggs
  • 0.125 teaspoon salt
  • 0.125 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 0.5 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 400 degrees F (200 degrees C), then gracefully arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the sausage, stirring occasionally, until crumbly, for about 5 to 7 minutes. Transfer to a plate.
  • Saute onion in the skillet until softened, about 3 to 5 minutes. Mix in eggs and sausage; stir until eggs are cooked through, approximately 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Spread the egg mixture evenly onto each baguette slice, then generously sprinkle with Cheddar cheese.
  • Bake until the cheese is nicely melted, around 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven.
