Tender chicken and crisp broccoli wok-tossed with fragrant ginger and onions in a sweet and spicy soy-garlic glaze for an irresistible and speedy meal.
Ingredients:
  • 2 teaspoons vegetable oil, or to taste
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into 3/4-inch pieces
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 teaspoons minced fresh ginger
  • 4 medium garlic cloves
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 0.66666668653488 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 0.25 cup brown sugar
  • 1 pinch red pepper flakes, or to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Instructions:
  • Collect all your incredible ingredients.
  • In a large non-stick skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat for about 2 minutes until it shimmers. While the oil heats, coat the chicken by stirring it in a medium bowl with 1 tablespoon of cornstarch.
  • Place chicken in a skillet to cook until crisp and fully cooked, around 6 minutes, stirring occasionally. Then add onions and cook until translucent, about 1 minute. Stir in ginger and garlic, cooking until fragrant, about 1 minute. Remove chicken mixture from the skillet and set aside.
  • In a hot skillet, toss in the broccoli and sauté over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until vibrant green and warmed, about 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Combine water, soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, crushed red pepper, black pepper, and 2 tablespoons cornstarch in a bowl. Whisk vigorously for 30 seconds until smooth.
  • Combine the cooked chicken with broccoli in a skillet. Pour in the soy sauce mixture and stir constantly until the broccoli and chicken are fully coated, and the sauce thickens, approximately 2 minutes.
  • Serve and savor right away!
