Family favorite broccoli souffle with crispy cheese topping - a holiday classic!
Ingredients:
  • 1 (14 ounce) bag frozen chopped broccoli, thawed
  • 0.25 cup margarine
  • 0.25 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 0.66666668653488 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons chopped onion
  • 0.5 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • Prepare a steamer by placing it in a saucepan filled with water (just below the steamer). Bring the water to a boil. Add broccoli, cover, and steam until tender (2 to 4 minutes).
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, melt margarine. Stir in flour until combined. Gradually pour in milk, stirring constantly to avoid lumps. Cook until the white sauce thickens, about 10 minutes.
  • Mix together broccoli, eggs, creamy mayonnaise, and onion in a baking dish, then coat everything with a velvety white sauce and gently stir until well blended.
  • Bake in a preheated oven for 30 minutes, then sprinkle Cheddar cheese on top and continue baking until set, about 15 minutes longer.
