Broccoli with Herbed Butter Sauce

Enhance veggie sauce with family's favorite herb for a delectable dish.
Ingredients:
  • 3 pounds broccoli
  • Herbed Butter Sauce
Instructions:
  • Prepare the broccoli by removing the large leaves and tough ends of the lower stems. Wash the broccoli and peel it if you prefer. For spears, cut the broccoli lengthwise into 1-inch wide stalks. For pieces, cut the broccoli lengthwise into 1/2-inch-wide stalks, then crosswise into 1-inch pieces.
  • Bring a pot of salted water to a boil in a Dutch oven. Add broccoli and simmer covered for 10 to 12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the stems are crisp-tender.
  • Make the Herbed Butter Sauce while the broccoli is cooking, then drizzle the sauce over the broccoli before serving.
