Steamed broccolini with herbed butter

Delicious cross of broccoli and gai lan with long elegant stem and small head, both tender and flavorful, no waste.
Ingredients:
  • 60g unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1 French shallot, finely chopped
  • 20.00 ml chopped fresh continental parsley
  • 2 tsp chopped fresh tarragon
  • 2 tsp chopped fresh chives
  • 2 bunches (about 350g) broccolini, trimmed, cut into long florets
Instructions:
  • Combine the butter, shallot, parsley, tarragon, and chives in a medium bowl, stirring until smooth and well mixed.
  • Boil the broccolini in salted water until vibrant green and tender-crisp. Drain and transfer to a serving dish. Add the butter mixture on top and let it melt. Serve hot.
