Broccoli cooked in flavorful broth, baked with creamy herbed cheese, Cheddar, and spices. Delicious!
Ingredients:
  • 1 head broccoli, broken into florets
  • 1 cup vegetable broth
  • 1 (6.5 ounce) package herb and garlic-flavored cream cheese
  • 3 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 0.5 teaspoon Italian seasoning, or to taste
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 0.5 cup grated Cheddar cheese, or as needed
  • 2 tablespoons butter, cut into small pieces
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and generously grease a casserole dish.
  • Cook broccoli in flavorful broth until just tender, then transfer to casserole dish.
  • Blend cream cheese, cream, and a splash of the vegetable broth used to cook the broccoli. Season with Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Spread the creamy mixture over the broccoli then top with Cheddar cheese and butter.
  • Bake until the cheese is melted and golden brown in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes.
