Create a flavorful miso glaze with sesame, mirin, and ginger for a delicious salmon dish.
Ingredients:
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 2 tablespoons miso paste
  • 2 tablespoons mirin (Japanese sweet wine)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon minced ginger
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon oil, or as needed
  • 1 pound salmon fillets
Instructions:
  • Toast sesame seeds in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for about 2 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • In a small bowl, blend miso paste, mirin, soy sauce, ginger, and honey until smooth. Add toasted sesame seeds and mix together.
  • Position the oven rack 6 inches below the broiler and preheat the broiler. Line a baking pan with foil and grease lightly with oil.
  • Ensure each succulent piece of salmon is generously smothered in the flavorful miso sauce before elegantly arranging them skin-side up on the baking pan.
  • Place the fish in the preheated oven on broil setting and cook for 10-15 minutes, keeping a close eye on it until it easily flakes with a fork.
