Broiled halibut glazed with rice wine and miso for a golden, Asian-inspired main dish.
Ingredients:
  • cooking spray
  • 0.25 cup miso
  • 2 tablespoons rice wine
  • 2 tablespoons mirin (Japanese sweet rice wine)
  • 1.5 pounds halibut fillets, bones removed
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Instructions:
  • Position the oven rack 4 inches below the heat source and preheat the broiler. Cover a baking sheet with aluminum foil and coat it with cooking spray.
  • Combine miso, rice wine, and mirin in a small bowl, whisking until smooth.
  • Lay the halibut on the baking sheet and generously coat it with half of the delicious miso mixture.
  • Broil in the preheated oven for 4 to 5 minutes until golden. Flip, brush with remaining miso mixture, sprinkle sesame seeds on top. Broil for an additional 3 to 4 minutes until second side is golden.
