Broiled Mochi with Nori Seaweed

Savory soy sauce-dipped mochi cakes wrapped in seaweed strips for a delicious Japanese snack.
Ingredients:
  • 8 frozen mochi squares
  • 0.25 cup soy sauce, or to taste
  • 1 sheet nori (dry seaweed)
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 450 degrees F (275 degrees C).
  • Coat mochi in soy sauce before transferring to a baking sheet.
  • Bake until warm and bubbly in the preheated oven for about 5 minutes.
  • Cut the nori into eight strips and warm them in a large skillet over medium heat for 1 to 2 minutes. Remove from heat.
  • Wrap each mochi snugly with a sheet of nori to enjoy warm.
