Simple and flavorful oven-roasted asparagus with olive oil, salt, pepper, and a hint of lemon.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound fresh asparagus, trimmed
  • sea salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • brown paper bag
  • 0.5 lemon, juiced
  • 0.5 lemon, sliced into rounds
  • 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil, or as needed
  • 1 bay leaf
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • Place asparagus in a paper bag and season with salt, pepper, and lemon juice. Add lemon slices and bay leaf, then drizzle olive oil over asparagus. Rub some olive oil on the outside of the bag, seal tightly, and place on a baking sheet.
  • Roast the asparagus on the center oven rack until tender for approximately 15 minutes. Carefully open the bag, discard the bay leaf, and transfer the contents onto a serving platter.
