Rich brown butter cookies topped with sweet browned butter icing for ultimate decadence. Yum!
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups butter
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.66666698455811 cup chopped pecans
  • 3.5 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 0.5 cup hot water
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) for a perfect bake.
  • Melt butter over medium heat until it turns nut brown, about 5 minutes. Watch closely as it foams and bubbles to prevent burning. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly. Set aside 1/2 cup of the browned butter for the icing.
  • Transfer the flavorful browned butter to a spacious mixing bowl. Cream the butter with brown sugar until the temperature cools. Incorporate eggs, 2 teaspoons of vanilla, baking soda, baking powder, and salt; mix well. Add flour and chopped pecans. Spoon out dollops of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
  • Bake in a preheated oven for 10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly browned; then allow to cool.
  • Combine 1/2 cup of browned butter, 2 teaspoons of vanilla, confectioners' sugar, and hot water in a medium bowl. Beat until smooth and frost the cookies once they are cool.
