Savor the simplicity of this one-pot meal: sausage, onions and rice blend together for a wallet-friendly and delightfully flavorful dinner.
Ingredients:
  • 400.00 gm Medium Grain Brown Rice (uncooked)
  • 480g beef sausages or pork sausages
  • 36.80 gm vegetable oil
  • 2 onions, sliced
  • 1 small red capsicum, cut into strips
  • 1 can tomatoes, chopped
  • 1275.00 gm chicken style liquid stock
Instructions:
  • Heat oil in a saucepan, then cook sausages until browned and cooked through.
  • Transfer the sausages from the pan to a cutting board, let them cool slightly, then slice into thick pieces.
  • Sauté the onions and capsicum in the saucepan until softened, stirring occasionally.
  • Combine the uncooked rice, fresh tomatoes, flavorful stock, and juicy sausages in a pot. Stir everything together and bring to a boil.
  • Simmer the rice until it's perfectly tender with the pan covered.
  • Season generously with salt and freshly ground black pepper, gently stir to combine, and serve immediately.
