Microwave a sweet pineapple glaze with brown sugar and juice for a delicious finish on baked ham.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (6 pound) fully-cooked, bone-in ham
  • 1 fresh pineapple
  • 2 (6 ounce) cans pineapple juice
  • 1 cup brown sugar
Instructions:
  • Prepare all your fresh and flavorful ingredients for a culinary masterpiece.
  • Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) and place the ham cut-side down in a roasting pan.
  • Trim skin off the pineapple using a sharp knife and remove any brown spots. Slice the pineapple into 1/2-inch-thick rings, then use a round cutter to remove the cores. Secure the pineapple rings onto the ham with toothpicks.
  • Roast the ham in the oven for 30 minutes until golden and succulent.
  • Mix pineapple juice and brown sugar in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave on medium power until the glaze boils and slightly thickens. Be cautious as the glaze will be sticky and hot.
  • Evenly drizzle half of the glaze over the ham and pineapple rings. Continue baking the ham for an additional 30 minutes, then generously pour the rest of the glaze over the ham.
  • Bake the ham until a meat thermometer registers 140 degrees F (60 degrees C in the thickest part), approximately 30 to 60 minutes longer.
