Irresistible sticky brown sugar-glazed pork steaks paired with comforting warm potato salad.
Ingredients:
  • 75g brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp chilli flakes
  • 5.00 gm smoked paprika
  • 125ml olive oil
  • 1kg pork steak
  • 2 x 400g baby potatoes with butter and parsley
  • 3 middle bacon rashers, coarsely chopped
  • 3 spring onions, thinly sliced
  • 60ml dressing
Instructions:
  • In a small bowl, mix sugar, chili, smoked paprika, cinnamon, and oil. Season with salt and pepper. Place pork in a large glass or ceramic dish, pour the marinade over it, and toss to coat evenly. Let it sit for 10 minutes.
  • Cook the potatoes according to the package directions. Allow them to cool for 10 minutes, then cut them in half.
  • Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat. Cook bacon until browned and crisp, about 5 minutes. Add onion and cook for another 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat. In a large bowl, combine potatoes with the bacon mixture, Ranch dressing, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine.
  • Preheat a barbecue or chargrill over medium heat. Cook the steaks in batches for 3 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. Serve the steaks with potato salad and steamed green beans.
