Total Time:
Greek-seasoned glazed pork baked with breadcrumbs, onions, and celery for a deliciously aromatic dish.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup chopped celery
  • 0.5 cup chopped onion
  • 0.5 tablespoon butter
  • 15 slices day-old bread, torn into small pieces
  • 0.5 tablespoon Greek-style seasoning
  • 1 (14 ounce) can chicken broth
  • 6 pork chops
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup butter, melted
Instructions:
  • Melt 1/2 tablespoon of butter in a small skillet. Saute onion and celery until translucent. Transfer sauteed vegetables to a large bowl with bread, Greek seasoning, and broth. Mix well to evenly coat the bread without making it too soggy.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a lightly greased 9x13 inch baking dish, evenly layer the bread mixture at the bottom. Place the pork chops on top, sprinkle with extra Greek seasoning if desired. In a bowl, mix brown sugar and melted butter well. Brush this mixture generously over the pork chops and drizzle over the stuffing, allowing it to soak in.
  • Place in the preheated oven until the pork reaches an internal temperature of 145 degrees F (63 degrees C, about 30 minutes). Times may vary based on chop thickness. Optionally, brush with more butter/sugar mix while baking. To serve, plate the chops with the stuffing. Bon appétit!
