Baked pork chops with apple brown sugar glaze - a perfect balance of sweet and tangy flavors.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 0.5 cup chopped onion
  • 4 (1/2-inch thick) pork chops
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 2 apples - peeled, cored and sliced
  • 0.75 cup hot water
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 0.125 teaspoon ground cloves
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) for a perfect bake.
  • In a large skillet, heat oil and sauté onion until tender for about 1 minute. Set aside the onion. Then, brown pork chops on both sides.
  • In an 8x12-inch baking dish, arrange the chops and season them generously with salt and pepper. Top the chops with a layer of apples and cooked onion.
  • Mix water, brown sugar, mustard, and cloves in a small bowl, then drizzle over the chops.
  • Bake covered in the preheated oven for 30 to 45 minutes.
