Single serving apple pork chops - a delicious meal for solo cooks.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar, divided
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 Pink Lady apple, diced
  • 0.25 cup finely diced sweet onion
  • 0.5 pound pork chop
  • 0.5 cup water
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground thyme
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) for the perfect baking temperature.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter with 1/4 cup brown sugar. Add apple and onion, cook until softened, about 5 to 7 minutes. Brown pork chop on both sides for 8 to 10 minutes. Transfer pork chop to a plate and enjoy!
  • In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, create a flavorful syrup by simmering the remaining brown sugar, water, rosemary, and thyme until it thickens, taking care not to caramelize the sugar, for about 1 minute.
  • Stir in the cooked apples into the sauce until well coated.
  • Line a shallow baking dish with aluminum foil for effortless cleaning. Arrange the browned pork chop in the center of the dish and pour the sauce over it, ensuring the apples are placed around the meat.
  • Bake until the center reaches 145 degrees F (63 degrees C, 25 to 30 minutes).
