Delicious pork chops stuffed with apple pie filling and savory stuffing for a quick weeknight meal.
Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 6 (1-inch thick) boneless pork loin chops
  • 1.5 cups water
  • 0.25 cup margarine
  • 1 (6 ounce) package pork stuffing mix
  • 1 (21 ounce) can apple pie filling with cinnamon
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, sear the pork chops in vegetable oil until golden brown on each side, about 3 to 4 minutes.
  • In a saucepan, bring water and margarine to a boil. Add stuffing mix, cover, and remove from heat. Let it stand for 5 minutes to absorb water. Uncover and fluff the stuffing with a fork.
  • Smooth the luscious apple pie filling across the baking dish, then neatly place the savory pork chops on top. Generously spoon the flavorful stuffing over the pork chops before covering the dish with shiny aluminum foil.
  • Bake uncovered in a preheated oven for a total of 45 minutes until the pork is fully cooked and reaches an internal temperature of 160 degrees F (70 degrees C).
