Quick and delicious meatless pasta with flavorful brown butter sauce ready in just 25 minutes.
Ingredients:
  • 1 package (9 oz) refrigerated three-cheese tortellini
  • 1 bag (12 oz) frozen broccoli florets
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (do not use margarine or vegetable oil spreads)
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh sage leaves
  • 1 teaspoon grated lemon peel
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
  • Cook the tortellini in a 4-quart Dutch oven according to package instructions, then drain and cover to keep warm.
  • Microwave broccoli according to package instructions.
  • In a Dutch oven, melt butter over medium-high heat, stirring frequently. Continue cooking, stirring often, for 2 to 5 minutes until the butter stops foaming and browned bits form at the bottom of the pan. Remove from heat.
  • Blend fragrant sage, pungent garlic, zesty lemon peel, and a pinch of salt into rich, browned butter. Delicately combine with tender cooked tortellini and vibrant broccoli.
