Decadent brownies with a satisfying crunch and gooey center.
Ingredients:
  • 120g good-quality dark chocolate
  • 125g unsalted butter
  • 200g caster sugar
  • 4.40 gm vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 85g plain flour
  • 20.00 gm good-quality cocoa
  • 100g walnuts, chopped
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 180°C and prepare a 20cm square pan by greasing and lining the base.
  • Melt the chocolate in a bowl over simmering water, then allow it to cool before using.
  • Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in the vanilla and eggs one by one until incorporated. Sift the flour and cocoa powder, then gently fold into the batter. Gently fold in the chocolate and walnuts. Transfer the batter to a cake pan and bake for 20-25 minutes. Allow to cool in the pan before slicing into squares for serving.
