Brussels sprouts and spaghetti in a creamy tahini sauce - a simple and flavorful weeknight meal.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts
  • 0.5 (8 ounce) package spaghetti
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 3 tablespoons tahini paste
  • 2 teaspoons capers
Instructions:
  • 1. Prepare your steamer setup by filling a saucepan with water up to just below the steamer insert. Bring the water to a boil. 2. Steam Brussels sprouts with the lid on until they are tender when pierced with a fork, approximately 10 minutes. 3. Drain the Brussels sprouts, keeping the hot water for further use if needed.
  • 1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil, then cook spaghetti until al dente, about 12 minutes. Drain.
  • In a pot over medium heat, warm olive oil. Sauté garlic until fragrant for 1 to 2 minutes. Incorporate lemon juice and tahini paste. Gradually add hot water until the sauce reaches desired consistency.
  • Combine Brussels sprouts, spaghetti, and capers with the savory sauce, and then season generously with salt and pepper.
