Elevate Brussels sprouts with crispy bacon and toasted hazelnuts for a delicious twist!
Ingredients:
  • 82.50 ml hazelnuts
  • 750g brussels sprouts
  • 100g bacon, chopped
  • 2 tsp lemon zest, finely grated
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 180°C (160°C fan). Roast hazelnuts on a tray for 5 minutes until fragrant and lightly golden. Let them cool slightly, then wrap them in a towel to rub off the skins. Chop hazelnuts roughly, discarding most of the skins.
  • Prepare the brussels sprouts by trimming off any discolored outer leaves, cutting them in half lengthwise, placing them in a large heatproof bowl, covering them with boiling water, letting them stand for 3 minutes, and then draining well.
  • In a spacious deep frying pan, heat a generous amount of oil. Cook bacon until crisp, about 3-4 minutes, over medium heat.
  • Combine lemon zest and brussels sprouts in a pan. Sauté for 5 mins until sprouts are just tender. Add hazelnuts and mix well before serving hot.
