Bunny Cake Poppers

Transform your favorite strawberry cake into adorable bunny pops with strawberry frosting, pink candy melts, and colorful sprinkles. Perfect for Easter!
Ingredients:
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Delights Super Moist™ Strawberry Cake Mix
  • Water, vegetable oil and eggs called for on cake mix box
  • 1 tub (12 oz) Betty Crocker™ Whipped Strawberry Mist™ Frosting
  • 3 cups pink candy melts
  • 15 to 20 pink chewy candies, unwrapped
  • Paper lollipop sticks
  • Blue and pink confetti candy sprinkles
  • Block of white plastic foam
  • Blue food-safe marker
Instructions:
  • Prepare and bake the cake mix according to the instructions on the box in a 13x9-inch pan, using water, oil, and eggs. Allow the cake to cool completely for about 1 hour.
  • Crumble cake into fine crumbs with your fingers in a large bowl. Mix in 1/4 cup of frosting using a fork until well combined. Add more frosting as needed, tablespoon by tablespoon, until you have a thick, clay-like mixture.
  • Form mixture into perfectly round balls measuring 1 to 1 1/2 inches in diameter and arrange them neatly on a sheet of parchment paper.
  • Place the candy melts in a small deep bowl. Microwave uncovered on High for 60 to 90 seconds, stirring until the candy is smooth.
  • Dip the end of each lollipop stick into melted candy and firmly insert it into the center of one cake ball. Place it on parchment paper and let it stand until the candy hardens.
  • Microwave one chewy candy at a time on High for 4 to 6 seconds. Flatten each candy with a rolling pin. Once cooled, use kitchen scissors to cut the candy into 2 small teardrop shapes and pinch the ends to make ears.
  • Take a cake ball and dip it into the melted candy, letting the excess drip off. Flip the cake popper over and press two candy ears on top. Add two blue sprinkles for the eyes and one pink sprinkle for the nose. Place the cake popper in foam to set.
  • Decorate with edible food-safe markers by drawing whiskers and bunny mouths to add a fun and cute touch to the presentation.
