Ingredients:
  • 3 tablespoons white sugar
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1.5 teaspoons baking soda
  • 0.75 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups buttermilk
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 0.33333334326744 cup butter, melted
Instructions:
  • In a large bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In a separate bowl, whisk together buttermilk, milk, eggs, and melted butter. Keep both mixtures separate until ready to cook.
  • Preheat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium-high heat until water flicked onto the surface beads up and sizzles.
  • Combine the wet and dry mixtures with a wooden spoon or fork until just blended, keeping a slightly lumpy texture.
  • Ladle 1/2 cup of batter onto the hot griddle. Cook until bubbles form on top, about 1 to 2 minutes. Flip with a spatula and cook until golden brown. Repeat with the rest of the batter.
