Quick and easy homemade oven-baked doughnuts, perfect for a fun family baking activity.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 1/2 cup sugar
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Combine Bisquick mix, 2 tablespoons of sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon, milk, and egg in a medium bowl, stirring until a soft dough forms.
  • On a lightly floured surface, shape the dough into a ball and knead it about 5 times. Flatten the dough with a gentle press or roll until it's 1/2 inch thick. Use a doughnut cutter coated with Bisquick mix to cut out the doughnut shapes.
  • Create charming bow shapes by grasping opposite ends of each dough ring and gently twisting to form a delightful figure 8. Arrange the bows and buttons (the dough cut from the center of each ring) on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until lightly golden. Quickly dip each bow and button in melted butter, then coat in 1/2 cup of sugar. Serve hot.
