Bread machine calzone dough filled with pizza sauce, sausage, and cheese, customizable and mouthwateringly delicious!
Ingredients:
  • 1.25 cups water
  • 3 cups bread flour
  • 1 teaspoon dry milk powder
  • 1.5 tablespoons white sugar
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 0.75 cup pizza sauce
  • 4 ounces pepperoni sausage, chopped
  • 1.25 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
Instructions:
  • Add water, salt, bread flour, dry milk, sugar, and yeast into the bread machine following the manufacturer's recommended order. Choose the Dough cycle and let it work its magic.
  • Once the cycle is complete, prepare for the next step by preheating the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and lightly greasing a baking sheet.
  • Roll out the dough on a gently floured surface into a 16x10-inch rectangle and then transfer it to the prepared baking sheet.
  • Combine chopped pepperoni and mozzarella in a small bowl. Spread pizza sauce in a stripe down the center of the dough lengthwise. Add the pepperoni and cheese mixture on top. Cut diagonal strips 1 1/2 inches apart down each side, close to the filling. Criss-cross the strips over the filling, seal with water, and brush the top with melted butter.
  • Place the calzone into a hot oven and let it bake for 35 to 45 minutes.
