Homemade holiday gift idea: Cinnamon-sugar candied pecans, perfect for snacking.
Ingredients:
  • 0.333 cup white sugar, or more to taste
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt, or more to taste
  • 1 large egg white
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 pound pecan halves
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 250°F (120°C) for a perfectly baked dish.
  • Combine the sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a small bowl.
  • In a large bowl, vigorously whisk egg white and water until fluffy. Add pecans and toss in the mixture until well coated. Gradually pour in sugar mixture, stirring until pecans are fully covered. Transfer the coated pecans onto a baking sheet.
  • Place the pecans in the preheated oven and bake for 10 minutes. Stir and spread them into a single layer. Bake, stirring every 10 to 15 minutes, until the pecans are evenly browned, for an additional 30 to 50 minutes.
