Surprise guests with candy-filled brownie bites for the ultimate decadent treat!
Ingredients:
  • 1 package (8 oz) Snickers® unwrapped bites candy (about 48 pieces)
  • 2 1/4 cups semisweet chocolate chips (from 2-12 oz bags)
  • 2 tablespoons shortening
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a 13x9-inch pan with foil, leaving a 2-inch overhang. Grease the bottom and sides of the foil with shortening or cooking spray.
  • Prepare the brownie mix according to the instructions on the box. Allow the brownies to cool completely on a cooling rack for around 1 hour.
  • Lift the brownies out of the pan using the foil, then peel away the foil. Trim a thin strip (about 1/8 inch) from the edges of the brownie. Cut the brownie into 35 squares by slicing it into 7 rows by 5 rows. Save any extra pieces for snacking.
  • Prepare a lined baking sheet. Flatten one brownie square in your palm and place a Snickers® bite in the center. Gently mold the brownie around the Snickers® into a ball and place it on the baking sheet. Repeat with the rest of the brownie squares and 34 Snickers® bites. Chill in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.
  • Chop the rest of the Snickers® bites finely. Microwave chocolate chips and shortening in a medium bowl on High for 60 to 90 seconds until smooth. Dip the chilled balls one by one in the melted chocolate using 2 forks, then roll them. Place them back on the cookie sheet and sprinkle with the finely chopped Snickers® bites. If the chocolate has cooled too much, reheat as necessary. Refrigerate the brownie bites for about 20 minutes until the coating sets. Keep them covered in the refrigerator.
