Candy cane layer cake recipe

Quick and festive candy cane Christmas cake with chocolate and peppermint layers - ready in just 10 minutes!
Ingredients:
  • 2 x 540g pkt Make At Home White Mud Cakes
  • 125g pkt peppermint candy canes
  • 400g bought vanilla frosting
  • 4 Raspberry Macarons
  • Mixed chocolate balls, to serve
Instructions:
  • Cut ten 4cm-wide strips of baking paper. Roughly break up 4 candy canes, then process them in a food processor until crushed.
  • Place one cake on a serving plate and coat the top and sides with vanilla frosting. Add the second cake on top and cover with more frosting, ensuring a smooth surface. Chill in the fridge for 30 minutes before serving.
  • Wrap the cake with baking paper strips, then press crushed candy cane onto the cake. Remove the baking paper, and finish by decorating the cake with more candy canes, macarons, and chocolate balls.
