Decadent apple cider ice cream with warm spices, swirled with caramel - a truly indulgent treat!
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups finely chopped, peeled cooking apples, like McIntosh
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 0.75 teaspoon apple pie spice or ground cinnamon
  • 1 (14 ounce) can EAGLE BRAND® Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1.5 cups half-and-half cream
  • 0.33333334326744 cup Smucker's® Caramel Flavored Topping
Instructions:
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté apple in melted butter until tender, stirring occasionally, for about 10 minutes. Stir in apple cider and apple pie spice, then cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • In a medium bowl, combine sweetened condensed milk and cream, whisk until smooth. Gently fold in the apple mixture. Place the medium bowl in a larger bowl filled halfway with ice cubes and cold water. Stir the ice cream mixture until very cold, approximately 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Churn the ice cream in an ice cream maker following the manufacturer's instructions. Transfer it into an 8- or 9-inch square pan and freeze until firm for about 3 hours. Scoop the ice cream into the pan, drizzle with caramel topping, allowing it to seep in, then pack the ice cream back into the pan and freeze until ready to serve.
